Forward Air Corporation Announces Election of Tracy A. Leinbach as New Independent Director


Forward Air Corporation (NASDAQ:FWRD) has elected Tracy A. Leinbach as a non-management director of the Board of Directors. The Company's Board now consists of eight members, seven of whom are non-management directors.

Ms. Leinbach served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R), a global leader in supply chain, warehousing and transportation management solutions, from March 2003 until her retirement in February 2006. Ms. Leinbach spent over twenty years serving in diverse senior operational and financial management positions with Ryder subsidiaries. In addition, Ms. Leinbach has experience in sales and marketing and international business.
